Coffee Shop Writing - 32 DTD

Hey Y'all!

Today, I start teaching my summer class. I'm so excited for it; it'll give me a good mental break from writing, writing, writing. Plus, I love teaching in general, so I'm pretty pumped for it.

It's less exciting when I think about the fact that my advisor was *very* annoyed that I'm teaching this summer. I don't understand why; yes, my thesis is important and needs to be finished, but I also need to be able to pay my bills. I can't afford to not work for a summer. Maybe it's a good thing he's out of town until next week; I'm still very frustrated with him.

Unrelated: I woke up this morning functionally unable to turn my head to the left. My chiropractor helped a bunch, but I need to go back in two days if it's not better by then. It's amazing that sitting and writing all day takes a physical toll in addition to a mental/emotional toll on the human body.

Goals

Today, I will...
  1. Finish writing up the base case.
  2. Create at least 2 images.

Reflection

11:25 - Writing is flowing! I started at 10:30-ish today; I had my doctor's appointment and then had to prep to teach. Now I'm in Prairie Lights with an iced coffee and the momentum of a juggernaut.

12:14 - I spilled iced coffee down my shirt. It's quite unpleasant. Yet, I'm pushing through! I have 16 minutes to finish off this proposition. It's gonna happen.

13:04 - Does it count if I define my problem away? Is that what math is?
