So Snoozy.... Day 4

Good Morning, Blog! It's Friday!!! Which is (a) exciting, because Friday and artFest, and (b) depressing, because I still have to work over the weekend. It's a bit of a downer, even when surrounded by other people who work the weekend. I don't have enough words to express how much I'm looking forward to this dissertation being done, if for no other reason than being able to sleep again.

Goals

  1. Write up the end of the proof for my meeting today at 1pm.
  2. Edit the pointed matched circles section.
  3. Start on making images for that section, when exhausted and feeling like I can't go on anymore. *cue dramatic music*

Reflection

9:50 - We started today without chatting in our groups. I kind of miss it. It was nice to have a few moments of human contact to start off the day. Otherwise, it gets exceptionally lonely in here, despite being surrounded by people. That being said, I was able to write up what I figured out last night. I need to add the tensor case, then show that it is a type DA bimodule.

10:49 - Dude. It's great when you're writing single spaced in a separate document and drop it into the thesis template. That stuff? It was 14 pages!!! Woooo!!! Time for a quick stretch break, more coffee, and editing my background info.

11:23 - Who's got two thumbs and her second goal completed? This girl!! Time to spend the rest of my day making figures. This is way more relaxing than most of the other thesis work I do haha.

12:07 - Who doesn't love a sexy picture? Look at that punctured torus that corresponds to a pointed matched circle!

Yes, I did screenshot my thesis. Come at me.

12:30 - HERE'S ANOTHER ONE!!!! AND IT HAS CURVEY LINES!!!

17:21 - Met with my advisor at 1pm; he said "good job and keep going." Then my officemate and I gleefully spent a couple hours cleaning out our desks (he's also defending this summer). It's so cathartic to get rid of all of that paper!!! #recycle
